Modification inspections

Modification inspections are performed on pressure equipment in various situations of change. Examples of such situations include potential damage, modifications made to the equipment structure or application, transfer of equipment to a new location, or startup after a shutdown period exceeding 12 months in duration. The purpose of a modification inspection is to ensure that the change in question has been implemented as required. In all other respects, modification inspections chiefly comply with the first periodic inspection.
